Operations Associate
Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Type of Position: Full-time
Hours: 40/week
Non-Exempt

The Operations Associate is responsible for reviewing and communicating corporate action details to multiple parties, reporting and other duties as assigned. We are looking for a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Technical Duties:

  • Reviewing multiple custodian websites for upcoming corp. actions
  • Meeting the various deadlines set by the custodians
  • Posting corporate actions to the accounting system
  • Record Keeping/Maintenance of Client records and files
  • Voting Proxies and reviewing Holdings reconciliation
  • Internal and External Reporting

Technical Duties:

  • Associates (2yr) or Bachelor’s (4yr) degree w/ concentration in finance or accounting
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs, familiarity with Advent or other accounting software a plus
  • Displays excellent organization and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Leadership skills are encouraged

Application Support Specialist

We are an agile shop actively developing and maintaining line-of-business applications that provide our company with a competitive advantage in the marketplace. We are energetic, fast-paced, smart, and looking for a key team member.

We seek an application support specialist who will provide front line assistance to our business users for our internally developed software and represent the needs of those users in the development process. We want a technical person who thrives in a highly social environment. He/She should understand the needs of supporting mission critical software and take pride in providing fantastic customer service.

We are a Microsoft shop, so this position involves supporting Windows desktop, Windows server and Web applications.

Skills and Requirements:

  • College degree
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Windows platform and Web applications
  • 0−2 years SQL (MS-TSQL preferred)
  • 0−2 years scripting languages (Powershell preferred)
  • Previous experience supporting line of business applications strongly preferred
  • Financial industry experience is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, social environment, yet be able to work independently as necessary.

Senior Researcher
Department: Research
Reports to: Managing Director − Research

Type of Position: Full-Time
Hours: 40/week
Exempt

A Senior Researcher is responsible for providing analysis and quantitative modeling to support Parametric’s investment products and new product development.

Technical Duties:

  • Develop mathematical and statistical algorithms to support portfolio management.
  • Construct data sets, and perform quantitative analysis to support research, marketing, and product development projects.
  • Create new investment products, develop prototypes, and act as a portfolio manager for seed portfolios.
  • Write and publish papers in industry journals.
  • Speak at industry conferences.

Work Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Masters degree or PhD in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Investment industry experience preferred.

Strong knowledge in:

  • Statistics, portfolio theory, investments, and finance
  • Quantitative modeling, optimization, simulation, equity portfolio management, derivatives, and portfolio construction
  • Computer programming
  • Excel, Matlab, R, CPLEX, FactSet, Bloomberg and/or statistical tools that allow for quantitative modeling and analysis

Desired attributes:

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex material to clients, investment advisors, consultants, and at industry conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish papers in industry or academic journals.
