Parametric OverlayOne^TM

OverlayOne is an overlay portfolio management product created for Unified Managed Accounts (UMAs) and related offerings. Parametric has more than 16 years of success managing risk-controlled tax-efficient portfolios and has had tremendous success in creating and managing the technology needed for successful overlay portfolio management.

Within a single portfolio, a Parametric OverlayOne program strives to provide the return of a combination of asset managers or styles while maintaining control over total portfolio risk and taxes. The OverlayOne role extends to total coordination and implementation of the account—from initial trading to rebalancing, restrictions, cash flows, and, where relevant, the management of portfolio tax liabilities.

Within a UMA program incorporating OverlayOne, sponsors can choose their preferred managers and allow these managers to focus on what they do best—research and select securities. Tax issues and the operational activities of opening, closing, trading and maintaining accounts are centralized between Parametric and the program sponsor—where maximum coordination and customization can occur. This configuration represents a new and powerful relationship between sponsors, managers, and the overlay manager—a relationship with benefits for all parties.
