What you’ll do

Investment analysts play a key role in contributing to Parametric’s investment success. As you progress through the program, you’ll support a broad range of work and partner with experienced investment professionals to accomplish business goals. Examples include:

• Fielding analytical requests
• Updating marketing materials
• Reviewing investment performance and risk data
• Responding to client inquiries
• Supporting Investment Committee meetings

How you’ll progress

You’ll spend your first year developing and refining your knowledge of the investment industry and Parametric. You’ll apply the skills you’re learning by performing recurring investment tasks, tracking incoming analysis work, and executing on certain standardized analysis requests.

You’ll fulfill a range of high-volume standardized analysis requests for prospective clients. You’ll understand which techniques to apply for each and be able to explain the results. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where both quality and efficiency are essential.
You’ll work on more complex client requests, partnering with experienced investment professionals to complete the work. You’ll gain visibility into the sales and service process, learn about our strategies in greater depth, and understand best practices when interacting with clients.
After you’ve completed three full years in the program, you’ll be ready to explore other opportunities within the company. This could include an investment role within the portfolio management, research, or investment strategy functions, or it could include a noninvestment role such as sales and client service.

Gateway to opportunity

Most participants who complete the Investment Analyst Program decide to continue their careers with Parametric, in a variety of departments.
